The Ultimate False Alarm!

Friday January 11, 2008
After visiting Dr. Ross that morning and scheduling an inducement for Monday Jan 14th, I start to have contractions. They felt the same as the Braxton Hicks I'd been having for weeks except they were a little stronger and getting closer together. By 9pm they were 7 minutes apart so we called my parents in Little Rock who immediately hit the road for the 8 hour drive. Jay's parents were called as well and they left McComb with Jay's sister Cori around Midnight. We go to the hospital about 12:30 with contractions 5 minutes apart! After arriving there being hooked up to monitors and the doctor called we end up spending the night only to be discharged by Dr. Jacob the very next morning! They said not to come back until the contractions were so painful they'd stop you in your tracks. Yikes! My parents had driven all night long and Jay's family had arrived so we ended up having a great family weekend. We dined at Pascal Manale's Saturday night and went to the French Quarter on Sunday. We were up at 4am on Monday to arrive at the hospital for inducement.
